The Invisible Path
Reflections In Mentoring draws attention to the concept of ‘futuring’ and that our lives often unfold as an invisible path. The author, Wayne Townsend, narrates stories of people who have followed an ‘Invisible Path’ and eventually arrive at just the right place. Mentor experiences and strategies are shared to encourage better human interaction and to listen more intently to others.
The author states: “We are all on a path in life—some profoundly obvious and some invisible. There are so many factors over which we have little control. A ‘life well-lived’ is often defined by our abilities to gain control over these variables. It is our response to the unknown elements along ‘The Invisible Path’ that largely measures our skill, experience, wisdom and the outcomes of every day life.”
