C.R. (Chuck) Lockton is a semi-retired veterinarian who based a varied career from his home on Wasi Road, Callander, Ontario where he and his family have their horse farm. Dr. Lockton spent many years serving as District Veterinarian for North-eastern Ontario.
Chuck grew up on a small mixed farm in Southern Alberta in the ranching community of Willow Creek District. His book covers events in his youth that instilled in him love of animals: vignettes from college and veterinary life; and his joyous return to spend ten post-retirement years back in the saddle on Willow Creek.
