Crystal's Tea Room
Owning and operating a restaurant and tea room was the last thing Crystal Helms thought she would be doing in the twilight of her career, but in 1996, Crystal left social work behind to open her own business. Over the ensuing 8.5 years the tea room took on a life of its own, changing to meet the demand of the marketplace and the persuasions of her growing customer base.
Crystal's became know for it's healthful, hearty, and homemade cusine, offering heart-healthy lunches and dinners as well as indulgences, including High Teas with her now-famous scones. Crystal leaves this legacy of treasured memories and recipes for those who have appreciated the hospitality and wonderful sustenance of her establishment, and for others to discover the pleasures that await them.
