If we want to "get our foot in the door" to push our "agenda" we can expect rejection. The only reason to help with the car, do their taxes or give them a ride to the drug store would be the pure interest of wanting to help them out because we can. After several such occurrences it is only a matter of time that they will want to know what drives us to do these things. It is real people being real with people.
